Expensive chocolate

I went my father's home in Okayama at the last day in 2017.
As my father can't cook well and my mother died about 7 years. So, I can't eat well at the home. So, I bought a lunch box as a last dinner at convenience store. As it was too cheep, I bought a expensive chocolate. But, I couldn't acknowledge the difference.

Mt. Chausu

Nearest mountain which had a name was Mt. Chausu. It was there on ridge line between my home town Yano and Saka town.
It was not so high. But, there was a wide landscape which showed Hiroshima bay. I could return to my home with satisfaction.

Last climbing in 2017

At the end of year, I was not busy. But, I had not motivation to do something.
Hard climbing was impossible. So, I decided to climb nearest mountain which was between my home town Yano and Saka town. The entrance of climbing road was there in 3 minutes by walking. I often climb it.
In the mountain, woods were beautiful. I thought it was succeed that I climbed.

Son's growth

Both my son and I checked a record of the time from entrance of climbing road to the top. I was surprised my son's record. He reached in about 37 minutes. I was 45 minutes.
In summer, his record was 41 minutes, and mine was 43 minutes. The 43 minutes was my best record.
I have to train more and rebuild my body in order to revenge him.

Climb with my son

It was a little snow in the morning. I climbed Mt. Ege with my son in the snow. I brought a boiled water to the top. We ate hot soup in cold wind. It was very delicious. A guy said that the ambient temperature was 0 ℃. During I climbed, I didn't feel coldness. But, during having a rest, I felt cold. After I finished eating soup, I started to down from mountain.

Sunrise

I watch a orange sky from port Hiroshima in this morning. It is on season when the daytime is most short. So, I can sea such a sunrise.
The temperature was 2 ℃. It was 0 ℃ in the day before yesterday. It is cold. But it is good for riding bike.

Rest point

At the aid station, many bicycles were there. As I always ride bicycle alone, it was interesting. I have no friend for bicycle who ride with me.

Free foods

miso soup

There were 3 aid station in 90 km distance. We could eat everything by free (the cost was from our entry paid).
Hot foods such as miso soup, udon and carry was very tasty. Rice ball, chocolate and manjyu(small cake which include sweet bean paste) were tasty, too.
As I consumed energy in my body, I could eat them well.
I understood that the rest and foods gave me the power to ride bicycle.

Orange ride

At the start point of the race, many riders were there. I could see young and old and lady and gentleman. I was one of them.
I entry 50 km race in last year. But, I entry 90 km race in this race. I'd never ride such a ling distance. So, I worried whether I would be able to conquer the distance.

Bring bicycle by my car

I brought my bicycle by car to Island Kami-Kamagari in order to join the bicycle's race.
When I woke up early in the morning, it was a little rain. So, I considered whether I should join or not. When I reached the Island, it was fine and I could see a sunrise.
I had to ride bicycle about 7 kilometers from the park to start point of the race. It was hard job before 90 km long ride.

Big wood like Totoro's home

There is a big wood at the beacon in Moto-Ujina. I like the big wood. I watched up it for a while in every morning. It looked like Totoro's home. As I'm not a pure chile, I can't see him.

Cape Moto-Ujina

As a train for 90km cycling race in this week end, I climb to top of Cape Moto-Ujina by bicycle. The slope from beside Prince hotel to the top is very hard.
I continuing the train in every morning in this week.

View from shrine

There were many temples and shrines around the historical road in Takehara. We stood on the stage of shrine. There were wide landscape of town of Takehara.
Walking in Takehara was very nice. My wife said that she wanted to go there again.

Coffee and cake

Both of my wife and I like eating sweets. So, we often go to cake shop. It is one of our object to travel.
I promised with her to go to Takehara again, soon.

Beautiful road

I like such a historical road. Stone floor, white wall and blue sky. They are very beautiful.
A few people walked there. It was too low despite there were nice load and delicious foods. The city should plan to call many people.

Soba in Takehara

I went to Takehara in order to eat Soba with my wife. There were 3 Soba restaurant in historical road. We went to one of them.
I like Soba very much. But, I don't know the Soba restaurant in neighbor. I often eat it in Nagano after I climbed mountain in Alps.
The Soba was tasty. The smell was good, because the seed was new. I'll often go to Takehara in order to eat Soba.

Yellow leaves covered the surface of ground of ridge line near Mt. Myojin. As it was very beautiful, I photoed it. But, the photo could not be imitated to the real, because of my lack of technique and performance of my camera.
It was more and more brilliant yellow for my real eyes.

Lunch box

I ate cheap lunch box which I bought in convenience store. It always be not tasty above ground. But, it changed to delicious lunch in mountain.

Mt. Ege

I climbed Mt. Ege after a month interval. I didn't train well in these days. But, I could climbed well. I could reached to the top in an hour despite I climbed slowly. Commuting by bicycle must be a good train for climbing.
As I climbed in day, many climbers were there. I could talked with climbers who I'd never met.
I don't like to meet somebody. But, I can enjoy talk in mountain. I don't know whether I like people or not in mountain.

Brake shoe

I changed rear tire's brake shoe. I have to change it every half year.
I crashed to the car about a half year ago, because the brake shoe was abrade away. After the traffic accident, I often check it.
The slit was not deleted fully. So, it must be a good timing to change.

Thin tire

As the front tire's surface was worn out , I exchanged it to new one. And I selected thin one in order to run smoothly and fast.
The change was from 1.5 inch to 1.25 inch. You can acknowledge the difference of the thickness when you see the photo.
As I continued to use tube for 1.5, it was difficult to assemble it. I'm worrying about that the bicycle could be driven without blowout the tire.

Bottom bracket

I changed a bottom bracket of my bicycle. Bottom bracket was a pedal's shaft assembly parts.
As the old one was too long, front side gear exchanging was not smooth. So, I bought short one and changed it.
As the result, front gear exchanging had been smooth.

Amazon's box

I bought a bicycle's tire from Amazon. They send it by very big box. The tire could be bent. So, they could select smaller one.
The box may be selected by AI.
As the payment of sending it was free, there was no problem for me.

Soba restaurant in Oku-Izumo

The third Soba restaurant was "Ippuu-an". It was there in Oku-Izumo town where was near the border between Shimane pref. and Hiroshima pref.
As a result, it was best Soba in today's 3 Soba noodle despite it was not from new Soba beans.
I like eating tenpura with Soba. So, I ate it at the last eating.
I enjoyed driving with friends and eating foods with friends. It was a nice day.

In Retro station

Old Izumo station was preserved. It had a Showa's atmosphere when I was a small child. It may be more old.
Wood floor, wood wall and wood chair, etc. They were very cool. I always think the old design was good.

Soba in minor restaurant

We selected "Taisyo-an" as a second Soba restaurant. The reason we selected it was that the building was old and it was there at far from sight seeing point. We thought that real delicious restaurant must be there at such place.
When I take it into my mouse, I was surprised because it was not good. It didn't have elastic force, good smell and good taste. If I ate it in Hiroshima city, I might feel so. But, it was very bad when I compared with "Sunaya".
After we ate it, we went out from the restaurant silently.

In Retro train

The old train was showed in the station Izumo-taisya. The inside was built by woods and it looked very beautiful.
I always think the old design in Japan was very very beautiful. The reason may be because of waste. Modern design always pursue high efficiency. And it cut beauty at the time.
Waste make a beauty for many items and constructions.

Soba restaurant beside shrine Izumo

I went to Izumo area in Shimane prefecture in order to eat Nippon soba with my 2 friends. They were the old friend from I was about 24 years old.
The plan was eating in 3 Izumo soba restaurants. And, we would compare the tastes.
The first restaurant was "Suna-ya" which was there in front of the gate of shrine Izumo Taisya. The noodle had a good elastic force. And, it was made from new Soba beans. So, it had a good smell.
As the restaurant was there near the sightseeing place, it was expensive. I paid 1,100 yen for it. But, I could get a good satisfaction.

Mad fender

I made mad fender for bicycle.
Before I set it, rain and mad on the road flied to my back. Because the original one was too short. The material was from plastic cover for catalog. I cut it and fixed it by bolt and nut.
The result was very nice. No water and mad flied to my back. And the style was very cool.

Mt. Ege

I met some old climbers who I'd sometimes talked before I reached the top. They talked about Matsutake mushroom which be gotten in Mt. Ege. They teach me to search it under the pine tree.
At the top, I could see a beautiful blue sky and moon. The landscape was hidden by fog.
During I downed from the top, I met 3 students and talked a little. We talked about spider's net. They were the nice young guys.
It was a nice climbing because I could talked with nice young and old.

Mushroom

I found a beautiful mushroom in Mt. Ege. The surface was lubricious. I couldn't judge it can be eaten. So, I send the photo to my friend who knew well about mushrooms. And, I'm waiting for his answer.

Climb after a long interval

I hadn't climbed mountain for more than one month. The last climbing was at North Alps in the first of September. Until then, I didn't train.
I could walked well in mountain despite it was after a long interval.
It was very nice. I recognized that my life is in climbing.

Ramen

I went to eat ramen with my colleague for lunch. It was there near the Hiroshima prefecture's hospital.
It was very simple taste, and old style. But, I like it. I'll go to eat it, again.

Winery Miyoshi

I went to eat grilled meat to winery Miyoshi. In these days my daughter and son don't join such family event. I think that it can't be helped to that they don't join. Because my daughter is college student, and my son is junior high school student. When I was such age, I was so, too.
My wife and I could enjoy drive without our children after a long while. Local road in autumn was very beautiful. I'll enjoy such a event with my wife.

JOJO's manga artist

I bought a manga from Amazon. It was drown by my favorite manga artist Hirohiko Araki. He was famous of his JOJO series.
It was very nice manga. It had reached to the level of art. It had been my treasure.

5000km

Bicycle's drive computer showed that I'd run 5,000 km at last. I bought the computer in September 16, 2016. So, I'd run 5,000 km in one year.
Distance between Hiroshima to northern cape Souya in Hokkaido is about 2,000km. So, I think that the distance I ride bicycle was very long.
In this one year, I rode bicycle for commuting, cycling to island Edajima alone and race in island Tobishima.
I'm enjoying bicycle's life instead of auto bike. I think bicycle is more safety and healthy than bike.

In the Shinkansen

As the traffic accident on JR line between Hakuba and Matsumoto, the train stopped for a long while. Some years ago, I faced such trouble on same line when I came back from some mountain. The railroad may be suit for me.
In Nagoya station, I bought lunch box for dinner. It was Miso Katsu (Pork cutlet which tasted by miso) which was one of famous food in Nagoya. It was not bad.

Local foods

I always eat local famous foods after I climbed.
Nogano's famous food was soba (Japanese noodle). Hakuba town's famous food was horse's meat, according to web site. So, I searched the restaurant where I can eat both soba and horse's meat by smart phone. And, I found it near the Hakuba's JR station.
At first, I wanted to eat raw meat of the horse. But, it was soled for 3 peoples. It was too much for me. So, I selected grilled meat with ginger. But, it was too deep taste for me. So, I couldn't judge the horse meat was tasty or not.
After I'd eaten horse's meat, I ate soba. It was very tasty. I like soba than udon, basically. But, there were a little soba restaurant  in East Japan. So, I always want to eat soba in Nagano and Gifu pref.
I always feel happy when I eat local foods after climbing. My stomach was full of food. My heart was full of satisfaction.

Sweets

After I went out from bathroom, I ate sweets in the spa's small restaurant. In the mountain I often thought I want to eat ice cream. On the ground it was very easy. I can eat everything with only paying.
What is climbing ? Perhaps, I went into deep mountains in order to get inconvenience. But, I felt happy when I get convenience after I left mountain. Is it a contradiction ?

Spa

There were many spa around Happou. So, I went there directly. As I didn't wash my body for 3 days, it was very comfortable spa. I always feel happiness in spa after long climbing. In hot water, I remembered many peaks, cliffs, rocks and climbers, etc. with laugh. It may be the happiest time in the climbing. I couldn't go out from there for a long while.

Descend easily

After I drunk coffee, I descend mountain. I passed some sightseeing point such as pond Happou without watching. Because I was not interesting in normal sightseeing point.
I ran down beside such place in many tourists.
I used gondola and rope way from Happou to Hakuba. It was in deep mist near the topside. But, it was fine near the lower side. I realized the difference of whether in the mountain.
As I was alone in such vehicles, descend mountain was very easy and comfortable. I could moved height more than 1,000 m easily.

Nice coffee and mountain

I stayed in elegant time with coffee in front of Mt. Karamatsu. It may be most delicious and nice coffee in my life.
At entrance of lodge Karamatsu, it was written to the coffee delicious. So, I decided to buy it and drunk. I thought that the drink must be suit for the end of my the climbing.

Top of Mt. Karamatsu-dake

As it was easy mountain, many people were there on the top of Mt. Karamatsu.
I talked with a woman for a while. She was a little strange lady. She told me her many brag about mountain and the gears. But, I could listen it without aversion. It may be because satisfaction.
After I stayed there for about a few minutes, I went back to lodge Karamatsu with a little loneliness. I regret the end of pleasant climbing.

Called "Not return"

During I was going to top of Mt. Karamatsu, I could see Mt. Hakuba and famous difficult area "Kaerazu-no-ken".
Kaerazu-no-ken means that Difficult area which can't to return. It was said that the difficulty was more than the kiretto's one. When I started to plan the climbing, I planed to through it at first. But, I thought that it will be too hard to through it after I'd through the kiretto. So, I abandoned through it and climbing Mt. Hakuba in the climbing.
Famous climber Yoki Tanaka said that Hodaka's kiretto was more difficult than the Kaerazu's one. It may be easy for me, because I'd through Hodaka's kiretto.
I have no plan to through it now. But, I may through it someday, if I'll want to conquer all 4 kiretto in Japan. Because, I'd already conquered 3 of them.

Mt. Karamatsu-dake

Mt. Karamatsu was one of the 300 famous mountain in Japan.
The style was very gentle and beautiful. If we call Mt. Goryu-dake to tough guy, Mt. Karamatsu should be called to lady. I like the looks.
It was the last major mountain in the climbing. After I put my backpack beside the lodge, I started to climb it.

Beginner climbers

In front of lodge Karamatsu, there was a difficult point which called Ushikubi (means cow's head). But, it was easy point for me who through North wall of Kashimayari, kiretto, G5, G4 and Goryu, etc.
On the Ushikubi, 4 beginner climbers came against me. Two of them handed poles in their hand at such a rock's wall. An old lady could not keep 3 point.
As I had a tolerance because of clear the hard point, I could wait them with laugh. And, I said them "Don't need to hurry. come on slowly". And, I advice to their leader to put their poles into their backpack.
My heart might be grew up on the climbing.
